Lindy Hopper. Belly dancer. Hair-removal Laser Technician. The mysterious figure that is known only as "Nina" (and sometimes "Naomi") has many titles from prestigious dance competitions. But that's only a small part of her accomplishments. For instance, she can swivel in midair. She can simultaneously create vintage-style dresses and then destroy them while dancing. She can make 12-minute biscuits in 10 minutes. She writes upbeat musical theatre involving funeral homes. And last, but not least, she is a part of the award-winning Lindy Hop team the Silver Shadows, which sounds like it's a group of super heroes. And that's what she is. A Super Hero--one whose main super power is doing swivels in midair. And one day, they might save the world. Until then, she lives in Washington D.C. and falls down a lot.

Laura began dancing Swing and Lindy Hop in 2001. Since her discovery of this amazing dance, she has dedicated every free moment to improving her understanding of the movement, connection, and music. She has taught in San Antonio TX, Austin TX, Albany NY, San Francisco CA, and Quebec City in Canada, and has recently been seen as far away as Estonia spreading her Lindy Hop love. Laura has won several Strictlys and JAck & Jill's nationwide. She's a dancer that makes people stop in their tracks. Her creativity and musicality have deeply influenced the Austin lindy community and are gaining her a worldwide following.

Mike Roberts has been teaching since 2001 and has been dancing Lindy Hop and associated dances including Balboa, Charleston, Shag, and East Coast Swing since 2000. A great deal of Mike's success can be attributed to his vivid imagination. He admits to pretending he's a superhero like Colossus or Spiderman before he lifts weights (or his partner). It really helps your ability to keep up with a 250 bpm song if you can leap tall buildings in a single bound. He believes that the most important thing in dancing is listening to your partner and having fun.

Highly regarded for his teaching skills, Bill's emphasis on connection and technique has had a profound influence on the Lindy Hop scene in the U.S. and abroad for the past 11 years. There is an impressive list of dancers who have started their dance and teacher training with Bill and gone on to international recognition: Skye Humphries, Caitlin George, Ramona Staffeld, Jojo Jackson, Andy Reid, Sarah Spence, Chris Yee, Chachi, and all the members of Minnie's Moochers, the legendary Lindy Hop team who helped shape the modern Lindy Hop scene.

But what makes Bill stand out among the many teachers around is his ability to explain the details of technique to the common dancer. And his ability to help people rethink their own dancing, no matter how long they've been dancing. Bill's influence is felt as far away as Sweden, Spain, Singapore, Japan, France, Finland, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Holland, England, Scotland Australia & New Zealand. He has been on the teaching staff at Herrang Dance Camp, Swing Out New Hampshire, Beantown, and the American Lindy Hop Championships (ALHC). He also judges at ALHC, as well as the World Lindy Hop Championship.

Shortly after seeing the seminal and cheesy film Swing Kids, Dave began dancing obsessively, and started teaching in 1998. Since then he's been dancing and teaching Lindy Hop and Blues across the country, and now teaching across the globe with Ursula Ledergerber.

He is also widely unknown as the originator of the House Party Blues Crepe, and is still waiting to receive the appropriate props for this, a parade might be nice. His love for dancing comes out of the connection and improvisation found in non-formal, non-choreographed partnered dancing. His love for teaching comes from a desire to break down and analyze the components of a dance, and transfer those universal principles to his students. Because of this, his classes are heavily rooted in connection and foundations.

Ursula has finished her professional dance-education in July 2002, including Modern Dance, Jazz Dance, Ballet, Flamenco and more. She has been teaching in Switzerland but also on a international level since several years, mainly Lindy Hop and Tap, as well as stretching and body-control. She will give all the Ladies an excellent example and a lot of new and fresh inspiration in Lindy Hop. She makes part of a younger generation of Swing Dancers and therefore adds a lot of new elements to the Swing Dance. All of this came to her in a very natural way, since she grew up surrounded by music and rhythm by her mother being a professional jazz musician. Maybe that explains her ease in playing around with rhythms as well as her passion today for Music and Dance.

Ursi's recent teaching engagements include Switzerland, Germany, Australia, Sweden, France, Canada, Russia, England, Denmark, Norway, and Hungary.
